#GoCarFreeNoosa Competition – Terms & Conditions

  1. Promoter
    The promoter of this competition is Zero Emissions Noosa, [ABN 74862487515], located at 11 Belfa Street, Noosa Heads.

  2. Eligibility

    • Entry is open to Australian residents only.

    • Entrants must be aged 18 years or over, or have parental/guardian consent to enter.

    • Noosa Council employees and ZEN Board members (and their immediate families) of the promoter are not eligible to enter.

  3. Competition Period

    • The competition opens at 8 am 15 September and closes at midnight 22 September (“Competition Period”).

    • Entries received after the closing time will not be considered.

  4. How to Enter
    To enter, participants must during the Competition Period:

    • Pledge to go car free for at least one trip during the Competition Period by either:

      1. Posting a photo or video on Instagram or Facebook showing how they went car free, and Include the hashtag #GoCarFreeNoosa in their caption, and ensuring their post is public so it can be viewed by the promoter; or

      2. Registering online at zero.emissions.com.au providing their name, suburb, email address, a description of their alternative transport plan, and an estimate of kilometres saved.

    • Multiple entries are allowed but each entry must be unique.

  5. Prizes

    • The prizes are:

      1. $500 for best social media entry

      2. eBike tour for two people from ecoTekk Noosa – valued at $180

      3. 10 Noosa Ferry passes will be distributed during the week leading up to 22 September to a pledge of the day – valued at $28 each or a total of $280.

    • Total prize pool value is $960.

    • Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash.

  6. Judging & Winner Selection

    • Winners of the $500 prize will be chosen by the promoter based on creativity, relevance to the theme, and overall positive spirit.

    • Winner of the eBike tour will be a random draw of all entries

    • Judging for the main two prizes will take place on 23 September.

    • Judging for the five Noosa Ferry double passes will take place on the morning of five consecutive days (17, 18, 19, 20, and 21 September.  This will be a random draw of entries since any prior draw and up until 8am on the day of the draw.

    • The promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

  7. Winner Notification

    • Winners will be notified via direct message on the social media platform used for their entry within 3 business days of judging.

    • If a winner does not respond within 7 days, the promoter may award the prize to another entrant.

  8. Use of Entries

    • By entering, participants grant the promoter the right to use their name, entry content, and photographs for promotional purposes related to the campaign, without further payment or permission.

  9. Liability

    • The promoter is not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury suffered as a result of entering or participating in the competition or accepting a prize, except for liability that cannot be excluded by law.

  10. General

    • The promoter reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions or cancel the competition if unforeseen circumstances arise.

    • This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with Instagram or Facebook.
